Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Quill ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. Quill is operated by CraneLabs. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Quill is a campaign management tool for Dungeon Masters playing Dungeons & Dragons and other tabletop RPGs. The Service includes campaign organization, battle tracking, NPC management, ambient audio, and smart features depending on your subscription tier.
3. Accounts
You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. One person may not maintain more than one account.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
Quill offers free (Scroll) and paid (Tome, Grimoire) tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through our payment processor. You may cancel at any time — access continues until the end of your billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Prices may change with 30 days' notice.
5. Your Content
You retain ownership of all campaign content you create in Quill (scenes, NPCs, notes, uploaded images). We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. You grant us a limited license to store, display, and process your content solely to provide the Service.
6. AI-Generated Content
AI features generate text and images using third-party AI models. AI-generated content is provided "as is" and may not always be accurate or appropriate. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before sharing it. AI-generated images you create are yours to use.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: use the Service to generate illegal, harmful, or abusive content; attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures; share your account with others; reverse-engineer the Service; use automated tools to scrape or access the Service beyond normal use.
8. Intellectual Property
Quill, its logo, and the Service are the property of CraneLabs. Dungeons & Dragons is a trademark of Wizards of the Coast. Quill is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Wizards of the Coast.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. CraneLabs is not liable for any data loss, service interruptions, or damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon deletion, your data — including campaigns, uploaded files, and usage history — is permanently removed immediately. AI-generated images may be retained in the community gallery. Active subscriptions are cancelled and billing records deleted at the time of account deletion.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
