Session prep is optional. The story is what happens when players make choices in a world that has opinions. You don't write the arc; you follow the consequences. The table generates everything together, and you're there to make sure those consequences land.

Players ask if you're okay because you always look like you're thinking about something.

Anarchist

No map. No safety net. You follow consequences wherever they lead, including bad ones. What players earn is what they get. The table is genuinely unpredictable because you're willing to let anything happen, including outcomes that are structurally bad for the campaign. The challenge comes from the systemic honesty: the world follows its own rules, and its own rules don't care about narrative tidiness.

The chaos is not the goal. The honesty is. But honesty at this level produces chaos, and experienced tables know the difference.

Strengths

• +Players are always alert. There's genuine risk. Emergent moments hit different when they weren't manufactured
• +The world's internal logic is respected absolutely. Nothing is softened for narrative convenience.

Blind Spots

• -Without structural discipline, campaigns can collapse. Chaos needs to be load-bearing, and not every DM builds the load-bearing structure first.
• -Easy to mistake chaos for creativity. The best sessions have real internal logic; the worst have neither
